Crownair Aviation Consolidates Locations

San Diego, Calif.; May 23, 2011… Crownair Aviation today announced the consolidation of its locations to one base. As Crownair continues to provide turbine and piston maintenance and avionics support, it will center its operations at Montgomery Field Airport (KMYF) in San Diego, CA. This move will result in the closure of its Carlsbad location at the McClellan-Palomar Airport (KCRQ). Through its mobile capabilities, Crownair will continue to service aircraft at McClellan-Palomar Airport, as well as the other surrounding airports.

“As we address the current challenges facing the aviation industry, this move will allow the Crownair team to continue offering competitive service and pricing to our customers,” says Dave Ryan, President of Crownair Aviation. “We will continue to build on our sound business practices and solid foundational principles.”

“Having two facilities to provide these services has been less efficient at our current volumes,” says Ray Richmond, General Manager of Crownair Aviation. “Using our mobile services Crownair has supported customers at airports in the Southern California region. We will be expanding our mobile repair capabilities even further to support this market.”

This realignment of resources will make Crownair Aviation a stronger, more viable organization. As they celebrate their 60th Anniversary Crownair remains optimistic about the future.
